After a business career in a variety of industries and roles, I am now also an author. Shortly after I retired (for the first time) I published The Executive Calling – Business Success Without Selling Your Soul. It is about the challenges and the possibilities for success as a Christian or a person of moral integrity in the business world. It reached #1 in many bookstores, within the Christian Business genre. It is an inspirational book for those who seek to be moral and ethical in their careers.
THE IMMIGRANT'S JOURNEY
In 2022 I published an Historical Biographical Fiction – The Immigrant’s Journey. This is an grand adventure as well as a romance. It is a tale based on true events about my grandfather. It won numerous 5-star awards from editorial reviews, as well as Reedsy’s pick for best new Historical Fiction. It has been featured in newspapers and on The Writer’s Lounge radio show. It is my heartfelt story and tribute to my grandfather, who immigrated from Norway in 1906.
PHEASANT RECIPIES
To Kill For
Next, I am publishing a recipe book. I like to change up the variety and diversity of my projects. It is a short, but important project for bird hunters, like me. I was an avid upland bird hunter. I had wonderful pointing dogs – Brittany’s. I brought home so many pheasants that our freezer was full and my wife asked me to stop hunting. The solution was to find delicious and easy recipes, so the family would want me to go hunting more often. That’s why I wrote Pheasant Recipes To Kill For.
UPCOMING
I am currently working on The Immigrant’s Clan. This is not a sequel to The Immigrant’s Journey. Rather, it is a “companion book.” This book is about my grandmother, on the other side of my family. Similar to The Immigrant’s Journey experience, she immigrated alone to America in the early 20th century. However, her journey was even harder. It’s a story of a flawed husband, broken marriage, and seven children who helped the clan to survive The Great Depression, World War II and settling in to raise the next generation.
